Private Oslo Shore Excursion by Bike

Private guided tours from the cruise terminal — back on board, on time

A port call in Oslo gives you one shot at the city. The ship sets its own schedule and it leaves when it leaves. What you do with the hours in between is worth getting right.

We run private guided bike tours from the Oslo cruise terminal. Your guide meets you when you disembark, shows you the city — or the fjord, or the forest, depending on what you want — and has you back at the ship with time to spare. Every tour is private. No shared coaches, no waiting for strangers, no fixed itinerary you didn't agree to.

The one thing that matters most

Getting back to the ship on time. Tell us your all-aboard time when you book and we build the whole tour around it — route, pace, stops — with buffer built in. We plan conservatively. We have never missed a departure.

Which tour fits your port call

Most Oslo port calls run 8–10 hours. That is enough time for a proper tour and still leaves room for lunch and independent exploring. Here is how the options map to a typical schedule:

Tour Time Best for From
Oslo City Highlights 2 hrs First-time visitors, all fitness levels NOK 890
Bygdøy Peninsula 2.5 hrs Fjord views, history, relaxed pace NOK 1 050
Oslo Gravel Short 2 hrs Active passengers, forest experience NOK 890
Oslo Coffee Tour 3 hrs Coffee lovers, neighbourhood atmosphere NOK 1 190
Oslo Gravel Loop 3 hrs Fit, adventurous passengers NOK 1 090
Nordmarka Forest Ring 4 4 hrs Full-day port calls, strong cyclists NOK 1 450

How to book

Book in advance — ideally before you sail. Use the form below and include your ship's name, port arrival time and all-aboard time. We will confirm availability and all logistics within 24 hours.

Walk-up bookings are sometimes possible when the ship is in port, but availability cannot be guaranteed. Advance booking gets you the date, the tour and the guide locked in.

FAQ

Common questions

Where does the tour meet?

Your guide meets you at the cruise terminal when your ship docks. Confirm your terminal and berth number when you book and we will be there when you disembark.

Will I be back at the ship before departure?

Yes. We build the return time into the tour from the start. Tell us your all-aboard time when you book and we plan the route around it — with buffer. We have never missed a ship departure.

Is this a private tour or a shared group excursion?

Private. It is just your group, your guide, and no one else. Maximum 8 riders. The pace, the stops and the conversation are all yours.

Do I need to bring my own bike?

No. Gravel bikes and e-bikes are available from NOK 349. Just mention what you need when you enquire and we will have the right bikes ready at the terminal.

What if my ship arrives late?

It happens. Get in touch as soon as you know the revised arrival time and we will adjust the plan — shorter route, tighter schedule, or reschedule to a later start. We are used to working around port timing.

What is the best Oslo shore excursion by bike?

For most cruise passengers, the Oslo City Highlights tour (2 hrs, Opera House, Vigeland Park, Aker Brygge) or the Bygdøy Peninsula tour (2.5 hrs, fjord views, museum district) give the best return on a short port call. Active passengers who want something different should look at the Oslo Gravel Short — thirteen kilometres in the Nordmarka forest, back in two hours.
